Navigating a Cyberattack
On Monday 16 May, together with AmCham and Eversheds Sutherland, the BSCC welcomed guests to a cyberattack simulation with Michael Bahar at Norra Latin. Michael Bahar is the litigation partner at Eversheds Sutherland’s Washington D.C. office and the co-lead of the firm’s global cybersecurity and data privacy practice, consisting of over 150 lawyers across 35 countries. Formerly, he was the Deputy Legal Advisor to the National Security Council at the White House and General Counsel for the US House Intelligence Committee.

Alex Deane has more than 15 years’ experience in advocacy and has worked with numerous high-profile individuals and companies in a senior advisory capacity.

Britain in the World: a Political Update with Alex Deane
On Thursday 12 May, the BSCC had the pleasure of hosting a macroeconomic outlook briefing together with SEB at their office in Stockholm. The briefing was given by Jens Magnusson, Chief Economist at SEB, who has the overall responsibility of SEB’s Swedish and global analysis of macroeconomics and economic policy. He joined SEB in 2005 from a position as Head of Department at the Ministry of Finance and has been working with economic analysis at various departments of the bank.

Whisky Tasting ‘The Macallan’
The British Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Edrington welcomed members of the Chamber to experience ‘the liquid gold from Scotland’, better known as Single Malt Scotch Whisky, during a whisky tasting on 17 February. Edrington highlighted some of the classic whisky producers from Speyside and let members experience the unique whisky from the Macallan.

Directly from the Cabinet Office, Ms. Pamela Dow, Executive Director of the UK Government Skills and Curriculum Unit held a virtual talk for the BSCC membership.
