On 8 November, the BSCC had the pleasure of organising an industry focus event with SEB’s CEO and President Johan Torgeby, at the SEB offices in Stockholm. Mr. Torgeby discussed the development of the financial industry in both Sweden and the UK.

On Tuesday, 24 October the Chamber, together with BSCC Patron Member, Stena AB welcomed members and partners to the BSCC Gothenburg Chapter with speakers and guest of honour Cecilia Malmström, Former Minister for European Union Affairs of Sweden, and Johan Trouvé, CEO, the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce. Dan Sten Olsson, CEO, Stena AB welcomed guests and gave introductory remarks.

On Tuesday, 17 October we welcomed members to a conference addressing the strategic challenges of competitive AI.

On Wednesday, 20 September the Chamber welcomed members to Nordea’s head office in Stockholm for a lunch and financial outlook with Annika Winsth, Chief Economist, Nordea.

On 31 August, Carl Bildt, former prime minister and Co-chair of the ECFR`s council, delivered a keynote address during the annual event hosted by the BSCC.

On 12 September we were delighted to welcome members to a breakfast seminar on the Legal Insights on AI hosted by TM & Partners. The seminar was led by Alexandra Rosell and Karolina Kjellberg, senior associates, and part of the firm’s Tech group.

On Monday 4 September, we welcomed members of the BSCC and AmCham to our annual golf tournament at Djursholms Golfklubb. The teams played the eighteen-hole course and stood to win prizes generously sponsored by; Utmost International, Volvo Cars, Edrington, Grand Hotel Stockholm, Hotel Diplomat, Hilton Slussen Hotel, Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Sheraton Hotel Stockholm, Ford, and NatWest, Markets N.V.

We were happy to provide an employment law training hosted by Eversheds Sutherland. The training was led by Torbjörn Lindmark, Partner and Head of the Employment Law Practice Group, and Rebecca Farkhooy, Senior Associate.

On Wednesday 10 May  H.E. Ms. Judith Gough, British Ambassador to Sweden and the BSCC welcomed members to the Chamber’s AGM. We were delighted to welcome Tobias Billström, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden as guest of honour and speaker.
