On 21 February, The BSCC and PA Consulting welcomed our members to Hotel Diplomat for our Redefining Boards in the Age of AI – Seminar. The seminar was the second part of our series on artificial intelligence and covered the crucial question of whether our Boards and top teams are equipped for the strategic challenges presented by AI and, specifically, whether they possess the capabilities to effectively steer their organisations at this time.

On Wednesday 7 February, The BSCC had the pleasure of hosting the Financial Outlook webinar in collaboration with NatWest. The distinguished speakers, John Briggs, Global Head of Economics and Market Strategy, and Kevin Cummins, Chief US Economist at NatWest, graciously shared their insights into the future of the economy.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming our members to the fourth event in our series on Geopolitics and Security, hosted by Kreab Stockholm. During the evening, we had the opportunity to listen to our excellent guest speakers, Christian Hedelin and Frédéric Cho, who shared their expertise and perspectives on the current geopolitical and geoeconomic state of the world.

On 23 January, the BSCC and Cirio welcomed our Patron members to an Executive Forum Roundtable with guest of honour and speaker, Sara Mazur, Director at Knut & Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

On 6 December, the BSCC and H.E.Ms. Judith Gough welcomed members to the BSCC Annual Christmas Reception and Award Ceremony hosted at the Ambassador’s residence.

Last week, members of the BSCC Young Patrons had the privilege of attending the British Swedish Summit 2023 in London. This summit served as a platform for engaging discussions on leadership in contemporary society, bringing together notable figures such as business leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians, and academics from both Sweden and Britain.

On 28 November, we had the pleasure to collaborate with Fogel & Partners on organising “The World Ahead 2024” with Tom Standage. We were delighted to welcome Tom, the Editor of The World Ahead, Deputy Editor of the Economist and author of seven history books, on stage.

On Monday 4 December, we had the privilege of welcoming our Patron members to the BSCC Annual Patrons’ Dinner. The event featured Jim Rowan, CEO of Volvo Cars, as our guest of honour and speaker.

On 22 November, the BSCC had the pleasure to collaborate with the Swedish Institute of Trade and Law on organising an Update on Anglo-Swedish Trade at Setterwalls’ office in Stockholm.
