Skanska Builds the New Quay Saltkajen in Stockholm

Recently, Skanska signed a contract worth about SEK 610M with the Development Office at the City of Stockholm to build a new quay, Saltkajen, in Stockholm. This project is part of the development of the area Norra Djurgårdsstaden where the old port and industrial area is being transformed into a modern and environmentally friendly district.

The construction work has high environmental requirements and includes piling, sheet piling, soil cleaning, water and sewerage, concrete work and piping and ducting work. The project is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2022 and estimated to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
