Centigo advises on UK Import Declarations

Centigo, a BSCC member, has offered a warning to businesses not to delay in import declarations as some companies may now need to take immediate action in order to maintain customs compliance. From the 25th of June: businesses that selected to defer UK import declarations will need to adapt to tightened border controls. For firms looking for consultation on efficient supply chains, customs and border processes then Centigo is able to offer over 300 experienced consultants to support this process.

HMRC state that Customs Freight Simplified Procedures applications must be made at a minimum of 60 days prior to making the first Supplementary Declaration. As a result of this, outsourcing has become a necessity for many businesses and it is unclear how many businesses have actually opted for this strategy. Click here to learn more.
