The trade negotiations arising from Britain’s exit from the EU will provide businesses with a unique opportunity to help set the terms of their trade with the rest of the world for a generation.

The future trade relationships between the UK and both the EU and the rest of the world are likely to be established over a series of agreements – with the potential for temporary agreements or periods of uncertainty before final outcomes become clear – and trade negotiations can be notoriously difficult and drawn out.
