Industry Focus with SEB, Johan Torgeby, President & CEO

On 8 November, the BSCC had the pleasure of organising an industry focus event with SEB’s CEO and President Johan Torgeby, at the SEB offices in Stockholm.

Mr. Torgeby discussed the development of the financial industry in both Sweden and the UK. He outlined the challenges and opportunities that the financial markets are facing currently, such as Sweden’s international image and the state of geopolitics. He asserted that the strength of Sweden and the UK lies in their ability to work closely together. Mr. Torgeby further highlighted SEB’s international reach and the significance of collaboration between their British and Swedish offices.

We were also delighted to welcome on stage, Ms. Judith Gough, British Ambassador to Sweden who shared reflections from a British and geopolitical perspective, emphasising the importance of collaboration between Sweden and the UK. Together with Mr. Torgeby, Ms. Judith Gough welcomed questions from the audience.
