The BSCC in cooperation with Foyen Advokatfirma KB, cordially invite you to a breakfast seminar

“What is all the fuss about GDPR?”

Sara Malmgren
Lawyer
Foyen Advokatfirma KB

GDPR, the new EU privacy legislation (General Data Protection Regulation) which will apply from May 25 is mentioned everywhere. Why is that – and why is it important for you?

During this seminar, we will cover the basics of the new rules and what you need to do to be GDPR compliant. Who are the different parties affected and which are their respective obligations and rights? You will also receive some tips on an effective process to ensure compliance – where do you start and where do you go from there? Finally, you will understand why GDPR affects everyone of us and why that is – actually – a good thing. GDPR is not only legislation which has put companies in a frenzy over compliance issues to be handled before May 25. It is also a legislation which highlights the importance of digital integrity and security. Personal data is an extremely valuable commodity, and this legislation will have effect on existing and new business ventures one way or the other. Personal data also has an effect on politics as seen in the US presidential election – can GDPR even help save the concept of democracy?

Date: 13 February 2018
Time: 7.30-8.45
Breakfast will be served from 7.30 and the seminar will begin at 7.45.
Venue: Foyen Advokatfirma KB, Regeringsgatan 52, Stockholm
