Organising digital business model innovation
14 March 2017

Mats Magnusson Professor, KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Johan Simonsson Global Product Manager Power Cutters, Husqvarna PhD student, KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Organizing digital business model innovation. In recent years concepts like Digitalization or Internet of Things have been used to describe a transformation that implies fundamental changes to companies’ ways of doing business. Digital technologies open up for new ways to meet or exceed customer expectations and at the same time render possible a range of new business models. This trend is also growing in more traditional product companies, like e.g. Husqvarna. To address this digital opportunity, different initiatives are ongoing in the Husqvarna group. One such a initiative is a collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology. This collaboration intends to investigate possible new business models, but also to understand more of the disruptive challenges of this transformation. A key question is how to organize for digital business model innovation in established industrial firms?

Join us for a unique event under the theme of “The World Starts in Malmö”.  Don’t miss the opportunity to meet with seven Chambers of Commerce from different countries to truly expand your network. This event will take place on the 15th of March at the newly opened United Spaces studio in Malmö.

Our moderator Per Tryding is Vice President of Sydsvenska Handelskammaren. Per is a highly appreciated figure in helping to promote development in southern Sweden.
